Sania Mirza crashed out at the women’s doubles event which put an end to her campaign in 2011 Australian Open. Sania who partnered with Renata Voracova lost to Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta in the first round.
Dulko from Argentina holds world no.1 ranking while her partner Pennetta from Italy is ranked 2.The top seeded Argentine-Italian pair outclassed the Indo-Czech combo in straight sets by 6-4,6-1.The match lasted for just over an hour.Sania,24 was already out of the singles event in round 1 on Monday. The Indo-Czech duo struggled hard in the first set but had to give up to the strong opponent at 4-6.The second set was more disappointing as they could hardly match to the Argentine-Italian power-play.

Sania who has been a mixed double winner in 2009 along with Indian partner Mahesh Bhupathi does not seem to be in good form. The lady is not participating in the mixed doubles event this time.
