Indian tennis player Sania Mirza has entered Australian Open main draw after beating Stephanie Dubois of Canada. She emerged victorious in the final qualifying tennis round by defeating Dubois by 6-2, 6-3 points.
But the road ahead will be difficult for her as she will face Belgian tennis player Justine Henin in the 1st round. As Henin is currently ranked no: 13 in the world, play will be stiff for Sania. Sania is currently ranked 145 in the world and seeded 24 in this tournament.
The twenty-four years old Hyderabadi girl was seen a bit struggling with her 1st serves. In the end, she did 4 double faults in the first set and 6 overall.
However she says, "I couldn't have imagined a tougher opponent than Justine in the main draw. She is a great player, has huge experience, she is one of the greats of the game. I have nothing to lose. I'll go out there and enjoy the match. I'm looking forward to playing her."
