The match was played in Auckland, New Zealand, and Sania is trying hard to move up as well as to improve her ranking in singles. She is in a challenge now, as lately Sania has seen her ranking dropping to 141.
Sania played brilliantly in some sets, but had to lose some sets in the beginning. She lost the first set in 23 minutes. Sania just scored one point in this. She fared well in the second set, and won by scoring 7-6(7). It became one of the lengthiest tie-break played.
